welcome ccs grandparents!

grandparent's day at calvary christian school - february 27, 2026

preschool - 12th grade

We’re thankful for the generations of faith, love, and encouragement that grandparents bring to our school community. We’re excited to invite our CCS grandparents to a special afternoon as we celebrate the important role they play in our students’ lives!

Join us on Friday, February 27th from 1:30 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. for Grandparent's Day, for an Open House style event where students and grandparents can explore classrooms, meet teachers and participate in fun activities!

Grandparents and students can enjoy a variety of activities throughout the afternoon as they explore classroom displays, shop the Book Fair, create a custom t-shirt, tour our school and spend quality time together.

frequently asked questions

  • Great question! Background Checks are not required because this event is not scheduled during active school hours.

  • Great idea! If grandparents are on the approved pickup list for their grandchild, absolutely! We've heard that several grandparents plan to pick up their child at noon to take them to lunch and return to school at 1:30 p.m.

  • As you know, our enrollment has grown substantially over the past 5 years. CCS has been blessed! The Grandparent's Day Program started to become difficult to manage logistically. We did not want to cancel Grandparent's Day, it is one of our favorite days of the school year! We are going to try out this new schedule and pray that it allows more interaction between the grandparent and their grandchild(ren), avoids the need for background checks, eases dismissal and parking lot strains and provides a relaxed environment for grandparents to really walkthrough our school and hear first-hand from their grandchild - all of their favorite things about their school!

  • Great question! Feel free to arrive and leave at your leisure. The doors will open at 1:30 p.m. and the event will conclude promptly at 3 p.m. to accommodate athletic practices.
